My heater blower has seized up. I remember reading an article somewhere on how to get to it and get it working again. I have looked through the Wiki but can't find it. Does anyone know where it might be and do you know if new blowers are available

Thanks for the info and advice. I have now had the exhaust repaired. I found a local company- Gosport tyre and exhaust, who were very helpful, they custom made and fitted a new downpipe for me for a very reasonable price. I would definitely use these guys again.

Driving home today, my exhaust started making a very loud noise. The downpipe has broken and it looks like a section of it is missing. I think my engine is a 1.9 1Y. Where is the best place to get a downpipe? Or is it possible to get some kind of flexible tube to connect up the broken ends?

My front brake was squeaking, which also went away with a slight touch of the brake pedal. However it wasn't the brake pads, it was the wheel bearing about to fail. It sounded exactly like pads squeaking

I use a 1 kw Russell Hobbs kettle, It works well and has never tripped the electrical hook up. Its easy to fill it it up before you go to bed and just switch on in the morning without getting out of bed. A bit more tricky to do that with a gas kettle. Thanks for the suggestions. I will probably use the jet washer first, before using a grinder with a sanding disk. After using Vactan I am not sure what paint I am going to use. Too many options.

Those are really good tips. I will give them a go. I am still in the info gathering stage at the moment. Hopefully I may be able to avoid some of the common mistakes when I get started practising.

Thanks Mike. I am looking forward to having a go. Actually Welding the van might be a bit scary though. I looked at your thread where you basically rebuilt your van (Amazing!). I would be scared that I would uncover work that is too difficult for me to even think about attempting.

Ok, Thanks I will do that, it may be a while before I get time to get hold of it. I don't know which make it is. It is under a lot of junk in my friends garage. I wil try to get hold of it soon.
