Re: More Fuel Pipe Issues.
It's not a bad batch. Not faulty, just fake! Your reputable source has been buying from less reputable sources. Make sure you give them some grief about it, they've saved a few quid and your van could very well have gone on fire. Making fuel hose that doesn't fall apart after a few months is a trie...

Re: More Fuel Pipe Issues.
I’ve used fuel injection hose for years from Halfords, partly because they are one of the few suppliers that have 5.6mm in stock , I’ve never had an issue with it

Re: Newly purchase T25 - Subaru 2.5 in it - Engine Temp question
Feel the hoses and get a laser thermometer to check actual engine temp, mismatches sender and gauges can be unreliable but if the gauge is steady it’s most likely the temps fine

Re: Not T3 (VW Caddy)
Unplug all the units , plug one in at a time until you get a drain or something makes a noise, also check the rear door latches are fully locking as they have a tendency to get stuck leaving the rear light on

It’s not an adjustable taper roller , check its torqued to spec but they are built with an amount of play to allow for expansion when hot , an amount of play is normal

Re: Tensioner Slipping after Belt (and Tensioner) Change
I've reset the tensioner 3 times total today. Twice after the engine was rotated by hand. The marks will not stay lined up. I ran the engine a few times today, the tensioner doesn't seem to be shifting position now , but stays in the position shown in the last photo in my above post. The timing mar...

Re: Domestic Electrics NON VW.
I don’t think you can , the switch is probably switched neutral , though the tape /wire colour is confusing
If it’s a switched neutral you will need to run a live to your new light , or neutral to your light if the switch is switched live

Re: Tensioner Slipping after Belt (and Tensioner) Change
I had some more time to work on the van this morning. I added some thread lock to the tensioner stud, refit the belt, located the tensioner spring arm thing, tightened the tensioner and torqued the crank pulley. The tensioner was slightly off it's mark after I tightened up the crank pulley, so I re...

It won’t be “gummed up” it will be rusty inside , that will mean the potential of new major components required, some are difficult to get hold of and expensive
