double check your plug leads are correct, then put all the old stuff back on, you may well have a faulty new part

While I have your expert attention... My van has always started first time, even after standing unused for 6 months or more, but recently it took several tries after standing for just 3 weeks. One of the articles I read said that a hole in the leak off pipe can allow air in and cause the fuel syste...

Yes they are a part that fails with the symptoms you mentioned, slowly getting worse with misfire as it gets warmer

You can buy the distributor module and swap it

I would say probably a leak off
Pipe, generally easy to trim and
Refit , pretty sure they won’t let you on the ferry with a fuel leak

check the water isnt just condensation, its pretty rare for water to run out of the exhaust

It's not a bad batch. Not faulty, just fake! Your reputable source has been buying from less reputable sources. Make sure you give them some grief about it, they've saved a few quid and your van could very well have gone on fire. Making fuel hose that doesn't fall apart after a few months is a trie...

I’ve used fuel injection hose for years from Halfords, partly because they are one of the few suppliers that have 5.6mm in stock , I’ve never had an issue with it
