Re: Reccomendations for bodywork and resprayers in Bristol

Thanks for the recommendation for Jeff's. I went there today and they'd sorted out the problem within hours. Really good service, good people, I'll be going back there for sure. Thank you.

Reccomendations for bodywork and resprayers in Bristol

Does anyone have any experience or reccomendations for T25 restorers in or around Bristol? I've found Jeffs VW Shack https://jeffsvwshack.wordpress.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and VDub Resto north of Bristol http://www.vdubresto.co.uk/" onclick="window.ope...

That would be cool, just looking for a few pics from the outside and a couple from the inside ideally. Email is nairnski@yahoo.com, thanks a lot.

Re: Timber technicians roof - anyone got any photos?

YEah I'm going to give them a call but I think they only replace the top section which is not really the bit I have the problems with (although it's getting tired). The gas struts catch slightly on the corners which are quite thin metal and gradually bend them out of shape until they tear. I think i...

Timber technicians roof - anyone got any photos?

Hello. After nursing my autohomes pop-top roof for 6 years or so now I think I've just about had enough. Am thinking about a Timber Technicians hard top but their site only has one photo on it that I can see. Has anyone got any photos of the timber technician roof on their T25? Any regrets from goin...

Hi John. My elevating autohomes roof is still not too bad but I'm on the look out for someone who might be scrapping one of these roofs so I can get some repair panels. If you do get your roof replaced and you're scrapping the old one then keep me in mind as I could probably make use of some of it. ...

I was hoping that connecting an fm modulator directly and taking out the wireless aspect of the transmitter would improve the sound quality a bit. Surely wire must be better than through the air. I'm not fussed about wireless at all, I'd prefer it to be wired straight in, just my stereo doesn't have...

Anyone fitted an FM modulator?

Hello. I've got a wee transmitter for my ipod which is OK but not brilliant and I want to get something better. I'd prefer not to have to get a new stereo (thi sone has no extra auxiliary inputs on the back I've cheked). These FM modulators seem to be the next best thing. Has anyone fitted one or ge...

Engine bay fire extinguisher

Hi. Does anyone know any good place to get those automatic engine bay extinuishers. The type where there is a bottle and you tie a hose around the engine bay. It works a bit like a sprinkler system, if there is a fire it burns through part of the hose and the hose then sprays foam or liquid all over...

Turns out that it was the spigot bearing which has disintegrated. I've had quite a few months of slighlty crunching gears 1st, 2nd, reverse, and had started to get weird noises whining grinding, all in 1st and 2nd when accelerating. Now it feels great, like a new van. So if you are getting a new clu...

Do I need a new clutch?

Hello. I have an intermittent problem on my T25 and it's getting slowly worse. When I am putting the van in gear I get a slight grating noise, only happens in 1st, 2nd and reverse. It's not a real crunch or anything really painful but it's geting worse. It comes and goes. Usually I find upping the r...

Yip plastic primer then Satin black, both from Halfords. Did my grilles, spoiler, refurbished the front bumper and did one mirror (which matches the newer mirror very closely). Does look great for not a huge amount of effort.
