I had a similar problem with mine, and after much fettling/headscratching and swearing, I eventually bought another hinge unit of e-pay for a tenner which fixed the problem. Theres normally a large pin on the rear of the door frame into which the lock engages. The lock on the door 'grabs' this pin and that what holds the door shut. It can move over time. Try undoing the pin on the door frame next to rear seat. All that slamming may have moved it further away.
