Sounds too late for a simple tighten down. I got an idea you may need new gaskets. Others will advise on that. You can do quite a lot with the engine in situ probably more with an Aircooled athought there is a load of tinwork isn't there. I have a watercooled jobbie and was able to replace even the...

Well I think its popping out of the head and thru the spark plug hole in the tinware, the odd pop and a puff of smoke comes up through there... that would be it yeah...?

Hi Guys

Can someone tell me please if I can get the rocker cover off my 2.0 Aircooled to tighten the head back down with the lump still in the van?

No I know, but Ive also got a devon 2.0 CU engine and she flies in comparisson.

This one will get to 50 if Im lucky, maybe 60, going down hill, with the wind.

I can feel surges of power/lack of power all over the rev range also.

Where can I get spares IF the rings have gone?

2.0 CU engine underpowered

Hello all Ive got a T25 with the CU 2.0 Aircooled motor. She is REALLY underpowered. Things Ive done Ive timed her up to within an inch of her life with a strobe light. Ive stripped the carbs and put them back together. Ive by-passed that idle control box and it doesnt make any difference. All the a...
