Thanks all for your advice, I will check the thickness of the drums and replace as necessary.
In regards to the backplate, could I have a measurement on where to drill, and what size drill bit to use? I fancy drilling this hole so I can get to the adjuster.
Thanks very much for all help.

Hi there,
Any techniques for running the carb through in case it is blocking?
I've added some fresh fuel.

T25 1985, no adjuster hole in drum or backplate?
Hello, Has anyone come across a T25 without a star adjuster hole either in the backplate or the drum to adjust up the drum brakes? Can an adjuster hole be drilled into existing drums, if so what are the measurements to place the hole and how big should the hole be? I might go to a machine shop to ge...

If I can't get an 11mm irwin on it then there's no point me buying them at this stage! I think I might be able to wedge it on and use a spanner on the irwin magic...

Are zinc plates bolts as good as stainless?
That's it really! Are zinc plated bolts as good as stainless!?
I've just had a read and they're nowhere near as good as stainless for corrosion resistance!
The bolt head says ty88.

Ok I've been out there in the abyss! Thanks for your patience!
Can I get an irwin 11mm bolt grip and a spanner onto that lower nut without cutting the pipe!
It's touch and go! Maybe I might go the weld patch up option for now! Pictures coming!

Re: DG exhaust stud replacement - can it be done in situ?
But alex with the hex headed worm studs you could just turn them out and drop the j tube, but it sticks to the muffler connecting piece? I just have to replace the j tube but it's broken near the muffler connection, so I have to get the j tube off the studs, the old nuts off and open the muffler con...
