You can pop the ignition lock out and get key number off it.
Check the haynes manual where to drill the housing.

Think it will have 5 reverse gears and only 1 forward. But may be corrected. Car wrong way around ?

Does anyone know how much lower the engine sits in a diesel syncro.
Fitter engine on non syncro bars and it looks as if it is too high.
Can someone please measure from the chassis to the mounting bolt too see if it is the same as mine.

What happens if you have no hair. Is it still the same or faster.

Perhaps it's as simple as the pressure cap has gone. Quite common fault and will do your symptons. Get a genuine one from vw.

The loom is self contained and only needs 3-4 wires to it. Not from the fusebox it plugs in near the brain. Simple to wire up.

Just cut the plug of the donor van and join the wires to the same colours should work as have done it in the past. Good luck

No probs mounting at the angle, but manfold hits the chassis rail at the front end. You can either take a blow torch and beat it in, or cut a section out about 2 inch square and refbricate it. If you diesel engine is still in then you can see what to do by removing manifold and putting the pb one on...

Havent got a standard t25 flywheel will the passat one mate up to the starter.
