Handbrake cable
does anyone know how you remove the guiding tube for the primary handbrake cable without having to remove other pipes fuel tank etc. thanks

do you have a metal cover under your engine, when i have had oil leeks the cover collects oil and then when i have fixed the leek but not washed the plate off, i have had oil spraying up the back when im driving as it blows off the cover.

You can get a rebuild kit for the later calipers from VW parts center on a special order

No i cant find kits for the later calipers think there missing a trick there.
will try VW first, failing that it will be brickworks that is cheap for a caliper from what i can see on a few sites.

Does anyone know if you can get a rebuild kit for calipers 86-91 the none square type.
The rim of the rubber has come off so i need to replace it, but cant find one.

the caliper splits into two parts that are held together with two bolts that are 13 mm but the two bolts that actually fix the caliper to the van are 22 mm.

may be tight but if you put the wheels hard lock to the oppersite side you may be able to. when i got my t25 and first tried to undo them i used a large braker bar and one bolt i stud on it to undo it and the other i put a jack under the braker bar and jacked it up till the bolt became loose. not su...

on mine it's 13mm for the calliper and 22 mm to remove the fixed part of the caliper. thats on a 1987 t25 with out square brake pads

it makes it easier if you do it while the top is off the brake fluid resvoir or you connect a tube to the bleed nipple and unscrew it slightly as up push it in.
