Re: oil light flashing at idle only
Interesting what should idle be. Oil was changed when it was serviced the day i collected van. I have done about 3000 miles and not needed to top it up. Was going to service in next few weeks so its ready for another season. So not sure what oil is in it. What is best oil for this engine. During the...

oil light flashing at idle only
The oil light on my van (2.1 DJ 89/90 Whitestar) is flashing at idle 850 rpm but it goes out with tiny bit of throttle just below 1000rpm and does not come on at all when driving until you stop and rest at idle again. There is no buzzer at all. Temperature never goes above middle even in traffic and ...

The lights just stay on which ever way you switch it. The van is a 1990 lhd Whitestar and was wonder...

Re: 2.1 dj misfiring and poor running in rain
Thanks found it hiding behind Hydronic Eberspacher and associated plumbing. Will disconnect it all and clean all terminals and check all wiring as it looks very prone to water ingress. Cheers

Re: 2.1 dj misfiring and poor running in rain
Cheers for that Aidan, where abouts roughly is it. The van is very low so any venture underneath requires a jack
. By the way the new first gear you supplied me a few months ago went in a treat and its been my daily since.

2.1 dj misfiring and poor running in rain
Right then I have a Whitestar with 2.1 injection(DJ) engine and occasionally when it rains it aquires a misfire and will idle at about 3-400 rpm. If I switch of ignition it will start and run fine with a normal idle but may misfire again under load but not always. In the dry the engine is faultless ...
