If Im reading this correctly I can use the later one in the '85 and its more powerful too.
Will be fitting it this weekend.

What is the difference between pre and post '86 starters?
What is the difference between pre and post '86 starters? (1.9 petrol manual) I have searched the forums and the Wiki but couldn't find the difference.
