Or just use the drain points provided in the cylinder heads (between pushrod tubes - you need to remove guards first). Sent from my moto g55 5G using Tapatalk Not the lowest point. Water flows down. Re: Pierburg 2e3 on a 1.9DG starting issue

The choke flap should be much more closed than that, even at ambient temps of 20°+. Is it floppy free, or resistant when pressed with a finger? If floppy, probably the plastic relay arm has snapped. If resistant, cross shaft semi-seized?

Re: Replacing 10mm With 9mm Valve Adjusters in DJ2.1 Engine.

The manufacturer of the porker style one doesn't say mcuh about them linky at that price worth a look if they are actually available, maybe for an oxyboxer build if anyone still does that I foresee possible clearance issues with this type, necessitating shims to create room for the swivel feet. Thi...

Re: Replacing 10mm With 9mm Valve Adjusters in DJ2.1 Engine.

Heritage are now claiming their 10mm adjusters are genuine VW (they were selling the cheese ones not so long ago). I might get some to check, as I'm running very low on proper genuine 10s. Due to the scarcity of VW 10s I've been using 9mm early rockers on DGs lately, even on lates as I don't see the...

Re: Retro Fit 2.1 oil cooler to early van

I solved this problem by fitting a Laminova in-line oil cooler into the big coolant hose under the coil. Oil feed was via a sandwich plate under the filter. The owner reported great results, with nice stable oil temps in all conditions. https://club8090.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?p=8229534#p8229534 E...

Re: out of interest . DJ injection on DG...

I had a DH engine, and actually the tank did NOT have the bigger 12mm outlet, just a normal 7mm(?). I can't confirm if that was how it came from the factory, but that was how it was, and it ran fine. I even ran the replacement ej20 Subaru with that tank for quite a while and it also ran fine, now r...

That'd be great, thanks Rob. Are you ordering straight away? If not, maybe give them a couple of days to respond first?

Cheers for that Aidan. I thought I'd get myself one of them, but.... they don't post to Scottish islands [emoji849]. With Royal Mail it costs exactly the same [emoji2369] We get this a lot (sigh). Re: Adjust crankshaft endfloat or full rebuild?

Late case can be identified by the B suffix on the part number cast into it on each side under where the pushrod tubes sit. Also has a second oil switch on front under water pump. It's important because of clearance inside for the longer stroke 2.1 crank, and main bearing availability. Sent from my ...
