Re: Help needed with a new carb!

Photos are old units and out of date, we knew of the casting error at the very start, chokes have now been modified in manufacture and fit perfectly.

Re: Kick down

John you can adjustthe kick down by the rod that goes to the the throttle linkage, lengthening the rod will give you an earlier kickdown, you need to check why its stopped working though, fluid level ok? throttle cable stretched? linkage at gearbox come adrift or seized?

Re: Engine Suddenley Stopped

No Kev, Bosch coils are the "daddies" of coils, you find that a good Bosch coil will alst for many years but aftermarket coils tend to be a bit hit and miss with the quality, they overheat and pop, I've even known it just on petrol, cheap silver coil bought from a motor factor made of chin...

Re: Engine Suddenley Stopped

Trying it on petrol may not give you the root cause, by all means try the above and they are good suggestions, however LPG is harsh on the ignition system and it could be a sign that your coil if giving up, they will run until it overheats and breaks down, let it cool and its fine again for 1/2 hour...

Re: electric fuel pump

And for safety sake run through a relay with the oil sender as switched earth or the charge light (blue wire) as a positive trigger, then if you stall or heaven forbid have a fire your pump won't carry on if the engine stalls and feed it.
